Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the specific challenges and abilities of each child.
  • Evaluate sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop Individual treatment plans based on the assessment findings.
  • Set specific goals and objectives to address the needs of each child.
  • Implement activities to enhance fine motor skills.
  • Focus on enhancing balance, coordination, and overall physical strength.
  • Design activities to improve gross motor skills.
  • Address sensory processing difficulties by creating sensory-rich environments.
  • Provide activities that help children regulate and integrate sensory input effectively.
  • Work closely with parents to understand the child's home environment and tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Provide strategies to parents on strategies to support their child's development.
  • Regularly assess progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Monitor the child's overall development and adjust interventions to address emerging needs.

 

Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                                                          

  • At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in occupational therapy.
  • Licensing and Certification.
  • Patient and compassionate with special needs children.
  • Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the children, teachers and parents.
  • Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual child.
  • Team player and responsible.
