Interventionist

Interventionist

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare teaching resources and deliver lessons on a one-to-one basis.
  • To create individualized lesson-planning and IEPs with curriculum mapping and individually-design instruction.
  • Monitor and assess the child’s performance.
  • Regularly discuss a child’s progress with parents and give recommendations to promote a better learning environment at home.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and specialists to devise comprehensive support strategies for each individual child.

 

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education or Psychology (any equivalent certification would be an advantage).
  • Patient and compassionate with special needs children.
  • Adaptable and open to new teaching methods.
  • Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the children, teachers and parents.
  • Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual child.
  • Able to work independently and also in teams.
