Speech Therapist

Responsibilities

  • SLTs assess, manage and diagnose children with speech, language, communication, feeding and swallowing disorders.
  • Perform and document initial assessments and determine appropriate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized intervention plan for client.
  • Provide one to one speech therapy for children with special needs.
  • Involve in administrative work related to speech and language therapy.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, service providers and teachers.
  • Updating case notes post-sessions regularly.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in speech science/ health science (speech pathology) with clinical concentration.
  • Registered with MAHPC, MASH or SPEAK is encouraged.
  • Have a good command of English, able to converse in Mandarin is an advantage.
