Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the specific challenges and abilities of each child.
- Evaluate sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, and activities of daily living.
- Develop Individual treatment plans based on the assessment findings.
- Set specific goals and objectives to address the needs of each child.
- Implement activities to enhance fine motor skills.
- Focus on enhancing balance, coordination, and overall physical strength.
- Design activities to improve gross motor skills.
- Address sensory processing difficulties by creating sensory-rich environments.
- Provide activities that help children regulate and integrate sensory input effectively.
- Work closely with parents to understand the child's home environment and tailor interventions accordingly.
- Provide strategies to parents on strategies to support their child's development.
- Regularly assess progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Monitor the child's overall development and adjust interventions to address emerging needs.
Requirements:
- At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in occupational therapy.
- Licensing and Certification.
- Patient and compassionate with special needs children.
- Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the children, teachers and parents.
- Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual child.
- Team player and responsible.
