Interventionist
Responsibilities:
- Prepare teaching resources and deliver lessons on a one-to-one basis.
- To create individualized lesson-planning and IEPs with curriculum mapping and individually-design instruction.
- Monitor and assess the child’s performance.
- Regularly discuss a child’s progress with parents and give recommendations to promote a better learning environment at home.
- Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and specialists to devise comprehensive support strategies for each individual child.
Requirements:
- At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education or Psychology (any equivalent certification would be an advantage).
- Patient and compassionate with special needs children.
- Adaptable and open to new teaching methods.
- Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the children, teachers and parents.
- Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual child.
- Able to work independently and also in teams.
